Abraham Lincoln is the greatest president of all time. He was the 16th president of the United States for the Republican party, and became the president of the Union during the Civil War.
Abraham Lincoln was the greatest because he freed the slaves. He was dedicated to the cause of fighting against the Confederate States of America after they seceded from the United States, as they did not want slavery to be outlawed. Abrahm Lincoln did not give in to their unjust cause, so he decided to wage war against the Confederates to free the slaves and bring the states back together. Eventually, the Union would win the Civil War, and Lincoln would pass the 13th Amendment in 1865, which outlawed slavery in the United States.
Abraham Lincoln was a virtuous president, much like Optimus Prime. He was nicknamed "Honest Abe" because of his honesty and true character. He was a great strategist, leading much of the Union battles during the Civil War. He was also a great speaker, since he used to be a lwayer and Whig party leader. His speaking skills would make his Gettysburg Address speech very famous
Unfortunatly, Abraham Lincoln lived during a time when being a virtuous and moral person came with a lot of hate. Lincoln had a lot of haters. He was hated by the entire Southern United States, as they were the Confederacy that lost their slavery to Abraham Lincoln. Since he had so many haters, one of his haters, John Wilkes Boothe, would kill Lincoln by shooting him in the back of the head. Even though he was killed, Abrahm Lincoln's would be felt in the history of the United States of America.
